Talima Beach Villas,Olango Island,Lapu-Lapu City last Dec.12,2008,the
rationale of which are awareness on the importance of ecotourism
specifically in Lapu-lapu City, insights and information on the marine
resources and ordinances and be acquainted with the natural tourist
attractions of Lapu-lapu City thru snorkelling, scuba diving, bird
watching and other eco-tour activities.

ZETS MEMBERS WITH HON. QUEENIE MALINGIN-AMMAN COUNCILOR OF LAPU-LAPU CITY
ZZUBU ECO-TOURISM SOCIETY initiated the 1st Eco-Tourism Summit at Talima Beach Villas,Olango Island,Lapu-Lapu City last Dec.12,2008,the rationale of which are awareness on the importance of ecotourism specifically in Lapu-lapu City, insights and information on the marine resources and ordinances and be acquainted with the natural tourist attractions of Lapu-lapu City thru snorkelling, scuba diving, bird watching and other eco-tour activities.
Lex Berame ZETS President proudly said that the summit was successful because of the full support of the city government of Lapu-Lapu headed by Hon. City Mayor Arturo Radaza. The expertise of the speakers Mr.Teodulo Ybañez on Intiatives of the City Governmnet on Protection of Coastal Resources, Mr. Pepe Berido on Ctiy Ordinance Governing the Protection and Conservation of Coastal and Marine Resources, Sandy Martin Berame on Introducing the Snorkelling and Scuba Diving Sites of Lapu-lapu City. The able speakers Ms. Judilyn Quiachon of DOT explained Ecotourism Education, Marketing and Promotions, Mr. Giovanni Famor of BFAR discussed The Rule of BFAR supporting the ecotourism and Ms. Maretes Alenton-Godinez of CCEF with her topic Marine Sanctuary Establishment and Management greatly contributed to the attainment of the purpose of the 1st Ecotourism Summit.
The summit was well attended by the Barangay Officials of Coastal Barangays of Lapu-lapu City, Community Tourism Key Players, Students from IAU Lapu-lapu City, NCC of Danao City, Mandaue City College, BNHS Bell Staffers and all ZETS Members.
